I recommend you re-apply board conditioner once a month or when you notice your board or utensil starts looking dull.
Never place your wooden cutting boards or wooden utensils in the dishwasher. The excessive heat and harsh chemicals of the dish detergent will cause the wood to dry out, warp, and /or crack.
Cutting Board Conditioner
- To apply board conditioner, simply spread a small amount on a dry cloth and buff it into the wood until the entire surface is covered.
- Let the conditioner sit for 2-3 minutes.
- Use a clean cloth to buff off the excess to a satin sheen.
